We match liner thickness to how your Athens, OH space is actually used, not a one-size-fits-all default.
Athens, OH crawl spaces and basements see different levels of ground moisture depending on soil type and grading, which is part of why we size liner thickness to the specific space instead of defaulting to the same product every time.
Seam tape and pier wrapping are done to the standard that keeps warranties valid.
Standard-size crawl spaces and basements can frequently be completed in a single visit.
Pricing is based on your space's actual square footage and liner thickness selected, quoted in writing before installation.
We recommend liner thickness based on foot traffic, storage use, and moisture severity, not just selling the thickest option by default.
Every Athens, OH Vapor Barrier Installation job starts with an inspection, not a generic package — here's what that typically includes.
We overlap seams per manufacturer spec and seal them with rated tape, not just tucked edges that separate over time.
For unfinished basements, a vapor barrier under future flooring prevents ground moisture from reaching finished materials installed later.
We use pier boots designed specifically for this purpose rather than improvised wrapping that fails within a year or two.
We inspect the full liner before recommending repair versus replacement so you're not paying for a full redo unnecessarily.
We dispose of old material and debris as part of the job, leaving the space ready for the new barrier.
Tell us the square footage, whether it's a crawl space or basement, and how the space is used so we can recommend the right thickness.
We also check for standing water or excessive debris that would need addressing before liner installation.
You'll see the recommended mil thickness, total square footage, and pier wrapping scope broken out with pricing.
We walk the finished installation with you to confirm seams are properly sealed before calling the job complete.
